Southern Lakes Resort

The lodge formerly known as Tagish Lake Adventure Resort will once again open its doors in 2016 as the Southern Lakes Resort, located just an hour’s drive south of Whitehorse, on the shores of Tagish Lake.

The resort offers five cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms and balconies – three standard cabins, one superior cabin and one family cabin. All are traditional log cabins with a modern touch, and enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake.

In the main lodge, guests will appreciate fine dining with a spectacular view in the licensed restaurant, as well as more casual fare in the Lounge and Garden Patio. Seasonal creations by the resort’s chef are inspired by the environment – the lake, boreal forest and Canadian north. Herbs from the resort garden add a local touch.

The restaurant, lounge and garden patio will also be open to the general public. For a great day trip idea from Whitehorse, your clients can rent a canoe or kayak for the day to explore the lake and then relax in the sun on the garden patio while enjoying local delicacies.

In-house resort guests can also choose from a range of activities that include hiking, canoeing, fishing charters and guided nature tours. Nearby, Montana Mountain is fast becoming a hub for mountain biking and both Carcross and Skagway, Alaska make for easy day trips from the resort.

During winter, the resort is the perfect spot for northern lights viewing. And during the day, guests can also experience some authentic Yukon winter fun with activities including dog sledding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.

Rates and Packages

The resort is offering both FIT accommodation only rates as well as packages. FIT guests can opt to add on deluxe continental breakfast, half-board (breakfast and dinner) and lunch boxes.

In addition to the packages listed below, the resort will also put together custom programs on request.
